Conor tells me that the first draft of Edda is done and is with his O'Brien Editor. Edda is scheduled for publication in Ireland in the autumn of 2009. The newly formed iBbY Zimbabwe is twinned with iBbY Ireland. Irish authors and illustrators including Conor Kostick and Oisín McGann (pictured above) attended a cultural evening to raise funds for iBbY Zimbabwe.
Conor Kostick is at work on a sequel to Saga and Epic. The new book, to be called Edda, is named after the stories of Snorri Sturluson, whose ancestral home in Iceland was visited by Conor this summer.
Above you can see a TV news item documenting the launch of the 'If Kids Made the Reading Rules' poster that took place in Trim County Library on Tuesday 23rd of September, as part of the Children's Book Festival 2008, in association with Children's Books Ireland. Conor Kostick helped the children create the poster which can now be seen in libraries and schools all over Ireland.
