Conor Kostick nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2012

Conor says:

I've made the longlist for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for 2012. In Pippi Longstocking Astrid Lindgren created one of the most delightfully irreverent and independent characters in children's literature; this creative act was connected to the fact that Astrid Lindgren herself was a radical humanist and opponent of violence. I'm proud to be associated with her legacy.

  3. Hi Eric, thanks a lot for that. My MMPORG characters these days are always Cindella, Milan, Athena and I try for Ghost but it is usually gone or ileagal!
Sadly, there are no plans for a German translation of Edda at the moment, but perhaps when the US paperback comes out that will encourage Oetinger or another German publisher to take it.

  4. WIN BRO
Epic and Saga are amazing (I havent read Edda yet :() and wonderful and that. You need to write more books. Now. And also I feel like Epic would make a great movie. And if Saga were a movie it would have an amazing soundtrack (Sex Pistols, (really really old) Metallica (ie Kill 'em All), The Ramones, the Clash, etc.

  5. Cheers Matt, you are quite right about the soundtrack to Saga. I had most of those bands on when I was writing it!
